CEA's Shapiro Releases Statement on Bipartisan Legislation to Modify FCC's 'Sunshine' Rule


Feb 13, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of the Consumer Electronics Association, on February 8 released a statement on the FCC Collaboration Act, bipartisan legislation reintroduced in Congress to streamline decision-making at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).



"We commend the bi-partisan sponsors of the common-sense "FCC Collaboration Act". This simple rules change will improve the functioning of the FCC, reduce delays, and promote a more rapid decision-making process. We urge Congress to approve this bill expeditiously." The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) is the preeminent trade association promoting growth in the $209 billion U.S. consumer electronics industry.
