Django Unchained Producer Reginald Hudlin Joins Pepperdine Black Alumni Council Event February 28LOS ANGELES --(Business Wire)-- In recognition of Black History Month, the Pepperdine University Black Alumni Council is hosting "The Portrayal of African Americans in Film," a discussion of the evolution of African American stereotypes in the motion picture industry from early depictions to current trends of the 21st century on the portrayal of African Americans, on Thursday, February 28, at the Four Points by Sheraton in Culver City. Reginald Hudlin, producer of the 2013 Academy Award nominated Django Unchained and former president of entertainment at BET (News - Alert), will provide the keynote address and join a panel discussion featuring actor Lou Beatty of Betty White's Off Their Rockers. Sponsored by the Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business and Management, admission is $15 and open to the public. Seating is limited.
