*** Verizon Patent and Licensing Assigned Patent ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- Verizon Patent and Licensing, Basking Ridge, N.J., has been assigned a patent (8,366,328) developed by David Zhi Chen, Richardson, Texas, and George N. Bell, Stormville, N.Y., for an "alignment-improved optical-fiber mechanical splicer."
