China 3 Operators Reduce Intl Roaming Fees

Feb 08, 2013 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- It is said that China's three major operators have reduced or will reduce the roaming fees overseas and in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao before or after the 2013 New Year's Day or the Spring Festival.

The average slip rate exceeds 50%, and the highest slip rate of GPRS fees hits 92%.

The reduce of the international roaming fees will help save Chinese users' overseas communication expenditure to a large extent.

The three major operators are China Telecom Corporation, Ltd. (SEHK: 0728, NYSE: CHA), China Mobile Ltd. (NYSE: CHL, SEHK: 0941) and China Unicom (Hong Kong) Ltd. (NYSE: CHU, SEHK: 0762, and SHSE: 600050).
