BRIEF: Microsoft store to open at Somerset Collection


Feb 05, 2013 (Detroit Free Press - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- A Microsoft store will opening at the Somerset Collection in Troy by summer, the software company announced today.

The store will sell first- and third-party software; hardware from companies like Sony, Dell and Acer; MS tablets; phones by HTC and Nokia; Xbox, Kinect and accessories for them, first- and third-party software titles, according to Microsoft spokesman Rich Adolph.



An opening date was not announced.

The Somerset store is one of five nationally that will open by this summer, Microsoft announced Tuesday. Microsoft now has 64 full-line and specialty stores.


A spokesman for the shopping center could not be reached immediately for comment.

Somerset is already home to an Apple store.
