Monroe County, NY Begins Deployment of the M1503 Response Pager for Public Safety Dispatch

Norcross, GA, Feb 05, 2013 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- Critical Response Systems, a provider of leading-edge, mission-critical communication systems, announced recently that Monroe County Public Safety Communications has begun deployment of the M1503 response pager for primary dispatch. Monroe County's public safety leadership worked with Critical Response Systems, Inc. to optimize the M1503 for first-response use.

"We worked with Critical Response for over a year, fine tuning and testing the unit to meet the demands of our public safety professionals," said Rich Verdouw, Director of Monroe County Public Safety Communications. "Monroe County strives continually to make the most useful options available to our first responder community. With its improved feedback, longer battery life and better ergonomics, we believe the M1503 is one such option." The M1503 differs from traditional pagers in that it notifies incident command as users receive, read and reply to each message. It also enables users to convey their on-duty status with a few simple button clicks, and it uses AES-128 encryption to secure all messaging. Commanders can view live response information using the Web or mobile Internet.

"The county's insight, and the insight of the fire protection districts, was invaluable. We made important ergonomic improvements, strengthened NFPA conformance and fine tuned the user interface for use by first responders. The end result is an awesome little product," said Brian Claise, Critical Response VP of engineering.
