U.S. Department of State Approved Mentor-Protege Agreement for Nelson Enterprise Technology Services (NETS) and Intercom Federal Systems


FAIRFAX, Va., Feb. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Nelson Enterprise Technology Services (NETS) and Intercom Federal Systems (Intercom) are pleased to announce today their Mentor-Protege Program agreement under the auspices of the U.S. Department of State. This agreement will increase the collaboration between both companies in delivering world-class IT services to the Department of State.



Under this program contracting officers may evaluate subcontracting plans containing Mentor-Protege arrangements more favorably. In addition contracting officers are authorized to provide incentives to encourage subcontracting opportunities for small businesses.

NETS is strategically positioned to take advantage of various incentive programs initiated by the Department of State by positioning itself to align with various categories to include Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Veteran-Owned Small Business, and Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business.
