Dotmatics Bolsters Its Strong Position in Biology Informatics

BISHOPS STORTFORD, United Kingdom --(Business Wire)--

Dotmatics has released Bioregister, a biological registration system designed in collaboration with pharma and biotech organisations, the company announced today. As a leading provider of informatics solutions and services to the Life Sciences market, Dotmatics has strengthened its platform with Bioregister to bring efficiency to biologics research.

Bioregister offers a complete biologics registration system, enabling organisations to track biological entities and capture research and development data. Bioregister is designed in partnership with several pharma, biotech and CRO organisations to support the registration, lineage tracking, querying and reporting of antibodies, proteins, siRNAs, plasmids and cell lines from a simple integrated platform. Bioregister is intended to meet the informatics needs of scientists who need to keep track of sequence information, batches of biological material related to these sequences, as well as related protocols and experiments.

Using Bioregister, organisations can now centralise all their biological data in a fully searchable database which can be accessed via a cnfigurable and intuitive web-interface. Businesses can track all steps in the protein production process, including transfection, expression, purification and characterisation. In addition, users can easily generate modified sequences through a sequence editor, by performing a residue scan, or by combining sequences. Built upon a modern web-based platform, Bioregister is a highly configurable, off-the-shelf system that can be customised very easily to meet organisation's needs. In addition, this flexibility also guarantees that evolving business needs and rules are readily addressed.

Bioregister is fully integrated with Browser, a powerful web-based querying and reporting tool which is designed to pull data from multiple disparate data sources. This empowers users to generate real-time reports giving them the exact information on demand. A dashboard view of the relevant data on biological material and its development and discovery process facilitates rapid decision making, therefore optimising associated time and costs.

Dotmatics CEO, Stephen Gallagher, PhD, said "We have worked in partnership with multiple organisations to make sure that Bioregister fulfils the requirements and addresses the bottlenecks in biologics data management. We are proud to see Bioregister already implemented and in production at several of our customers sites. We have had the privilege to witness first-hand how it has helped scientists to manage all their biological information and streamline their protein production processes."
