According to reports, the 3.6 hectares property, situated in Woodside, California, has been sold to Japan's Masayoshi Son, with a Forbes-listed net worth of 7.2 billion US dollars, and is believed to be Japan's second richest man, the Sydney Morning Herald reports. Son is the founder of telecom company Softbank. The house was sold by Tully Friedman, chief executive of San Francisco private equity firm Friedman, Fleischer and Lowe. The property was purchased under the name of a company SV Projects LLC, in a manner typical of many private, high-end sales. The Allan Greenberg-designed house was built in 2005.
