KTI-Media Invites President Obama, School Teachers and Administrators to Explore School Safety Training and Funding Options at Everyday Heroes Funding & Products Expo 2013
ERIE, Colo., Feb. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ --
KTI-Media has invited President Barack Obama, along with School Administrators and Teachers nationwide, to what may be the most important event in 2013. They will be joining forces along with EMS/Fire/Police and Military, to attend The Everyday Heroes Funding and Products Expo 2013, at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas Nevada, June 19-21, 2013. With school shootings becoming more and more frequent, this show's organizers believe that our nation's teachers have also been putting themselves in harm's, way just like all public safety department personnel do every day.
"Teachers and school administrators are dying in the line of duty along with firemen, EMS, policemen and military personnel and believe they should be included in this expo as well. This expo has been organized to help any and all of these departments receive better funding, reduce expenditures and receive training and education during this expo. Our free and paid classes are in areas such as grant writing and finance reform, just to name a few. Also scenarios such as a 'mock' Mass Casualty and 'mock' school shooting will be conducted to better train for these types of events in the future. Also, world class exhibitors/vendors will be present to display the latest technologies along with premiere service providers for most departments, allowing each of these companies to cater to all of the everyday heroes.
"KTI-Media hopes that President Obama will choose to attend and allow The President to see and hear from these departments firsthand, and to better understand departments' financial needs along with reducing school violence ideas from across the country. At KTI-Media, they feel the best way to reduce violence as a whole is to listen and really hear ideas from these professionals and what they are recommending to increase overall school safety no matter how big or small. Any person, man or woman, with an idea, any idea can and will help make a difference in cutting down the violence that unfortunately is quickly itself becoming an everyday event," said Peggy Morton President of KTI-Media.
This expo is slated to be one of the largest public safety events in 2013, due in part to the fact that it includes all public safety departments/agencies that include EMS/Fire/Police/Military and now Teachers. This expo has been creatively developed due to its vast areas of knowledge from the exhibitors/vendors, but is also focused to limit its agenda through education to utilize the latest technologies and services allowing greater departmental financial strength. This show is slated to have over 300+ exhibitors/vendors and estimating the numbers in attendance to be upwards of over 10,000 in 2013. Most of these departments/agencies overlap one another as far as resources and services that are needed for them to successfully operate on a daily basis. Exhibitors/vendors are able to reap the benefits of attending such an expo as well. According to KTI-Media, exhibitors/vendors that supply Tasers and Body Armor that law enforcement agencies use on a daily basis, can be implemented in schools at a minimal cost and provide a non-lethal safety alternative in schools for example as an option.
The staff at KTI-Media has come up with their own award, called the "Crystal Teddy Bear" award. "KTI-Media is asking people to get involved in helping safeguard our children. The 'Crystal Teddy Bear' award will go to the person/persons, who can come up with the most 'practical solution' that can be implemented as quickly as possible in order to help build safer schools nationwide in a matter of a couple weeks instead of years. Along with the 'Crystal Teddy Bear' award, the person/persons will also receive a $5,000 cash award and will be recognized and will be asked to participate at the Everyday Heroes Funding and Products Expo 2013, taking place this June 19th-21st, 2013, at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in fabulous Las Vegas Nevada," said Todd Wessels, Vice President of KTI-Media.
