Verizon expands 4G LTE network in Syracuse area


Jan 23, 2013 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- US wireless communication services company Verizon Wireless announced on Tuesday the activation of 4G LTE coverage on five sites in the Syracuse area, New York.

These new 4G LTE sites are located in Baldwinsville, Camillus (two sites), Oswego and Mexico and expand and filling in coverage on the high-speed data network Verizon launched locally in August 2011.

Verizon's 4G LTE, which offers speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G networks, was launched two years ago and is currently available to over 273 million people across the US.



Verizon Wireless is a joint venture of Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ) (Nasdaq:VZ) and Vodafone (NYSE:VOD) (Nasdaq:VOD).
