Poll: Over 50% of Top Echelon, Inc. Recruiters Off to a Good Start in 2013Canton, Ohio, Jan 22, 2013 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- Many recruiters enjoyed a better year in 2012 than they did in 2011. However, how did recruiters start this year Did they start it well, or has anxiety over the "Fiscal Cliff" and the ever-present "Debt Ceiling" put a damper on their efforts According to a recent poll conducted by Top Echelon Network, an elite network of highly specialized search firms, over half of recruiters indicated that they're enjoying a good start within their recruiting firm so far this year. As part of that poll, Top Echelon Network asked the following question: "How would you describe your firm's start to 2013 " Over half of recruiters (52.8%) indicated that they're "off to a good start." In addition, 7.5% stated that they're "on fire!" Combined, that means over 60% of Network recruiters are enjoying a very good start to the New Year. A little over 20% of poll participants indicated that their activity level and production are "about the same as last year," while 15.1% chose "we're a little disappointed" as their answer. The percentage of recruiters that declared, "So far, the year is kicking our rear" was 3.8%. According to Top Echelon Network President Mark Demaree, the results of this poll could be a harbinger of things to come. "While it's true that there's a lot of uncertainty in the economy right now and a lot of uncertainty in the employment marketplace overall, companies still have hiring needs," said Demaree. "Not only that, but the first of the year is typically a busy time for recruiters, as companies begin to aggressively pursue their goals. "Without a major setback in the economy at large, there's no reason to think that the activity level Top Echelon Network recruiters are experiencing right now can't continue throughout all of 2013. There are many industries that are continuing to grow, and the companies associated with those industries need the best talent available to successfully compete."
