BRIEF: Mid-Cities Community Church to have grand opening of Children's BuildingJan 21, 2013 (Odessa American - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Mid-Cities Community Church will have a grand opening of the new Children's Building on Saturday at 8700 W. Highway 191. The event kicks off with a red ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. with a brief moment from Senior Pastor Daniel Stephens. Invited guests include Odessa Mayor David Turner, Midland City Councilman John James, Chamber of Commerce representatives from both cities as well as architects and representatives from Security Bank and Western National Bank. Following the brief ribbon-cutting ceremony, doors to the 54,000-square foot building for children and youth will open for guided tours of the facility. Family entertainment and food will provided. This event is free. The grand opening is the first event of the weekend and the building will be dedicated Sunday morning during services. For more information, call 432-413-3215.
