MYRTLE BEACH, Jan 21, 2013 (The Sun News (Myrtle Beach - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- A 29-year-old man told Myrtle Beach police he was robbed at gunpoint when he met another man in an area parking lot to purchase a cellphone he saw on Craigslist, according to a police report.

The victim told police at 7:20 p.m. Sunday he met the suspect in the parking lot at Broadway at the Beach to purchase a Samsung Galaxy Note II cellphone for $350, police said.

The victim said he gave the suspect $350 and took the phone and put his sim card in it to make sure it would work, according to the report. The victim said he put the phone on the trunk of his car and then the suspect stepped behind him and put a gun to the back of his head.
