1 in 3 Feel Government Not Effective in Protecting Against Identity Theft, says CreditDonkey.com Survey

Los Angeles, CA, Jan 18, 2013 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- Only 5% of Americans feel the government is very effective in protecting against identity theft, according to a survey by CreditDonkey.com, a credit card comparison website.

Survey Findings: http://www.creditdonkey.com/government-protect.html "Consumers want lawmakers to do more to protect us against identity theft," says Charles Tran, founder of CreditDonkey.com. "With consumers becoming more comfortable shopping online and through their cell phone, it's time for government to reconsider new safeguards that take the latest technologies into consideration." From November 19 to November 27, 2012, CreditDonkey.com surveyed 1,045 Americans, age 18 and over, using multiple-choice questions and short-answer questionnaires.

1,027 survey respondents answered the question "How successful do you feel the government is in protecting against identity theft " 5% said very effective, 63% said somewhat effective, and 32% said not effective.
