BRIEF: Three teens arrested in New Year's Day stabbing in Turlock


TURLOCK, Jan 17, 2013 (The Modesto Bee - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Three teenagers were arrested Wednesday in connection with the stabbing of three men at a party in Turlock on New Year's Day.

There was up to 40 people at the party when the victims were stabbed at about 1 a.m. Turlock Police recovered a knife from the scene.

One of the victims, a 22-year-old man, suffered life threatening injuries and was air lifted to a hospital. He and the other victims have since been released from the hospital and are in various stages of recovery, according to Officer Mayra Lewis.



Through the investigation detectives identified three suspects. Two of them were arrested with the help of Modesto Junior College Safety Officers while they were in class at the east campus.

Dominic Goodwin, 19, and Zachary Placido, 18, both of Turlock, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.


A third suspect, a 16-year-old boy from Turlock, turned himself in at the police station. The motive for the stabbing is unknown, Lewis said.
