Telecoms firm is in ideal spot to expand ; Fibre optic specialist MS3 moves into new high-profile headquarters [Hull Daily Mail (England)]

(Hull Daily Mail (England) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) InShort MS3 is gearing up for expansion after relocating to new headquarters at Priory Park West.

INDEPENDENT telecommunications firm MS3 is set for the next phase of its development thanks to a move into new corporate headquarters.

MS3, which is in the process of s installing a fibre network throughout the Hull area, has moved into Owen House at Priory Park West after concluding a deal with Garness Jones.

Managing director Tony Hales said the new premises will provide as platform for expansion as the company works to increase its core staff from eight to about 40 in the next 12 to 18 months, in addition to the team of about 60 working on civil and fibre installations.

He said it will support the company's ongoing efforts to become established as a major supplier of telecommunications and data services, primarily to the local business community.

Mr Hales said: "We are all about offering businesses speed, reliability, price and perfor mance.

"To support that, we were looking for a highprofile headquarters and that is what this building gives us." Finance director Ben Tarbotton said: "We had looked at other sites but Garness Jones made us aware of this one and really it sold itself to us.

"There were some complications because of the nature of our work but Garness Jones helped us to resolve those.

'QUALITY OFFICE': Paul White.

"It is a secure environment and that is important to us." Mr Hales said MS3 has now completed the first phase of its fibre installation programme and is about to embark on the next stage.

He said: "We have installed about 27km of fibre in the local area and phase two will increase that to about 50km.

"That work will concentrate on the eastern side of the city because in the next five years we think that is where the focus will be.

"In time, we intend to cover every area of the city to provide infrastructure that other partners can then build on.

"We are concentrating on services for business - the public and private sectors - but we do have some potential partners who are interested in coming in and offering domestic services." Ben said: "Our services are attracting interest from a wide range of businesses including sole traders, SMEs and PLCs." Paul White, of Garness Jones, said Owen House was "a high- quality office and operations building in an excellent location" and was therefore ideal for MS3.

He said: "The company has already built a strong profile in the local area and this move underlines their ambitions and capabilities.
