Grants available for St. Clair County doctors


Jan 15, 2013 (Belleville News-Democrat - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- The St. Clair County Medical Society Alliance has grant funding available for individuals and organizations in St. Clair County.

The St. Clair County Medical Society Alliance is a philanthropic organization founded in 1931 as the St. Clair County Medical Society Auxiliary. The volunteer organization of dedicated physician spouses supports the families of physicians and providing and supporting health education programs throughout the county.



Requirements for grant application submission: -- Applicants must be federally tax-exempt 501-c-3 non-profit organizations and able to provide documentation with the completed grant application.

-- Applicants and programs must reside or take place in St. Clair County.


-- All applicants and programs must further the healthcare goals of the medical alliance.

-- Grant recipients must provide a written report prior to Sept. 1, with an update of their organizations use of the grant money.

-- Applicants will be notified by mail of the status of their grant request by April 15.

Applications will be reviewed on a competitive based on their compatibility with the mission of the medical alliance and their impact on the community.
