Telecom Analyst Jeff Kagan Comments on Verizon, AT&T and Sprint Transformation Described in BusinessWeek.com

Atlanta, GA, Jan 14, 2013 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- "Wireless is changing as growth in basic services begins to slow." According to Jeff Kagan Wireless Analyst.

On January 11, BusinessWeek.com published an article titled, Verizon Wireless at CES: We're Not Just a Phone Company. While the article was accurate, it sounded like Verizon was doing something unique when in fact both AT&T Mobility and Sprint Nextel are also doing the same things.

The article estimated that 97 percent of the booth floor space was not used to show off smart phones and tablets. Instead it looked at the Verizon Innovation Center and how the wireless world will expand far beyond wireless phones.

While this is both accurate and exciting, both AT&T Mobility and Sprint Nextel are doing the same things as Verizon Wireless.

"Until today wireless was all about giving consumers handsets to stay in touch. However going forward wireless is expanding and means so much more. It's about home security and automation. It's about medical and health care. It's about transforming the automotive industry by putting the Internet in the dashboard. Wireless is going to transform everything we do and every industry we do business with." Says Jeff Kagan Wireless Analyst.

"Keep your eyes on wireless both as a service with new services, and as an industry that will transform other industries. Wireless is about to shed its skin and a beautiful butterfly is about to emerge." Says Kagan.
