MTN Details New Contracts


Jan 10, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- MTN Satellite Communications announced new contracts and activities with luxury cruise operators around the world.

According to a release, for more than 30 years, the company has provided maritime customers with very small aperture terminal (VSAT) satellite network solutions as well as voice, data, Internet, news, entertainment, and financial services. These solutions enable MTN's customers to enhance their overall business operations, as well as ensure passenger satisfaction and crew welfare initiatives.



Recent contract wins and activities in the cruise market include the following brands that look to MTN for VSAT services, television and special events, and Internet and calling solutions for passengers and crew: -Windstar Cruises, a sailing luxury small ship cruise line based in Seattle, Wash.

-Paul Gauguin Cruises, owned by Pacific Beachcomber S.C., a luxury hotel and cruise operator -The World, a residential ship at sea that continuously navigates the globe -Freewinds, a 440-foot chartered ship based in the Caribbean, with the home port of Curacao "Our team at MTN recognizes that no two customers are alike and it is our job to develop communication solutions that not only meet, but exceed their unique communications requirements," said Brent Horwitz, senior vice president and general manager for MTN cruise and ferry services.
