INTEL, MCAFEE UNVEIL NEW SECURITY TECHNOLOGY AT CES: Intel Corp has unveiled a new security technology it developed with McAfee, which it acquired around two years ago, at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The new tech integrates the McAfee software with Intel's chipsets, enabling consumers to have "a more personalised security experience," said McAffee vice president, Gary Davis. "We're combining the best McAfee security technology with the best Intel security technology," he said. The new technology offers users security at the hardware and software levels, making it possible to block more advanced or hidden threats, said Davis. Also the hardware itself is linked with the hard drive, which prevents the hard drive from being used if stolen, he added.
