Echostar names Mahmood S. Mirza as new SVPJan 04, 2013 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- EchoStar Corp (Nasdaq:SATS), a provider of satellite services and a developer of hybrid video delivery technologies, announced on Thursday the appointment of Mahmood S. Mirza as senior vice president of business systems, information technology and operations. In his new role Mirza will be responsible for the alignment of all IT strategy, business systems and IT technology across all EchoStar business units. He will report to Michael Dugan, CEO and president of EchoStar. Mirza , who has over 23 years of experience in the telecommunications field, has served as the chief technical officer or chief information officer or general manager at companies such as Disney Mobile, AT&T and American Management Systems.
