BRIEF: Burglars steal cash, valuable coins at Eden Flea Market


EDEN, Jan 03, 2013 (News & Record - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Police were searching today for a second burglar after two people broke into the Eden Flea Market early this morning and stole cash and valuable coins.



One man was in custody Wednesday after the break in at the market at 122 N. Van Buren Road, Eden police said.

Police responding to a reported suspicious vehicle at nearby apartments about 3:50 a.m. said the driver of a van, Randal Edgar Fry, 46, of Pepper Road in Oak Ridge, had items stolen from the flea market. Police did not disclose how much property was stolen, but said it was "a very large assortment of coins and currency." Fry was charged with felony breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering. Investigators are searching for a man who fled from the scene. He was short and wearing camouflage.
