HTC tailored the model for Japanese customers in partnership with Japan telecom operator KDDI, which listed the J Butterfly as its best-selling device. Considered to be the world's first smartphone with a 5-inch full-HD screen, the HTC J Butterfly has sold briskly since its launch in Japan Dec. 10. The model outshined iPhone 5 as the top seller on the KDDI's sales rankings between Dec. 10 and 16.
