People Can Still Make A Charitable Donation In 2012

Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, Dec 27, 2012 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- With the end of the year fast approaching, America Responds With Love is providing people with a variety of ways to make their final donations for 2012.

"Our non-profit organization allows donors the ability to decide what type of program they would like to support with their charitable donations," explained Mr. Richard McDonough, President and Chief Executive Officer of America Responds With Love. "We provide resources to people truly in need throughout the United States. In many cases, we focus on communities that have been overlooked by others." "We are able to make dollars go much further by utilizing many donated products and services," continued Mr. McDonough. "We have been able to reduce costs to implement charitable programs by upwards of two-thirds by securing many of the needed products and services from businesses. This allows us to reduce the actual cash costs for our charitable efforts." People can donate funds directly through the secure webpage to help America Responds With Love provide specific programs to help people truly in need.

During the past 25 years, the non-profit organization has been - for the most part - very quiet about its work. A few examples of its impact during 2012: America Responds With Love provided $25,000 worth of hardware, locks, and levers for doors to help victims of Hurricane Sandy in Monmouth County, New Jersey. The organization also provided work boots, work gloves, face masks, and similar products to help people in Monmouth County as they rebuild their homes. Families in Somerset County, New Jersey, were provided food products by America Responds With Love when no other resources were available following Hurricane Sandy.

In recent weeks, more than 1 million flower bulbs were donated by America Responds With Love to communities in Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, and Mississippi. "Many of these communities are small towns that have been overlooked as larger disasters have hit America," explained Mr. McDonough. "We believe it's important to not forget those that are still suffering from natural disasters. The flower bulbs have been planted in parks, schools, and other public locales. The beauty of the flowers allows these small towns to look forward as they strive to rebuild their communities." America Responds With Love has created the Respond With Love History Learning Center in Pennsylvania. Individuals with intellectual difficulties are learning how to scan historical photographs to help educate Americans about the history of the nation.

Books were provided by the non-profit organization to a school that had been hit by an arson fire. A shower commode chair was provided to a handicapped military veteran to allow him the ability to get into his bathtub independently. Baby blankets, baby hats, and baby booties created by a senior citizen in Florida were donated to children truly in need. People in emergency need were housed from Arizona to South Carolina and from Nebraska to Ohio.

Plans are underway to place Respond With Love Learning Centers in communities in Idaho, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, and Texas. These programs will include computer labs, small libraries of print books, digital content, and a variety of other learning elements.

"We are proud to be able to help Americans truly in need," stated Mr. McDonough. "We are hopeful that Americans who have the ability to donate funds will consider contributing to our non-profit organization to help us in our charitable efforts. Contributions can still be made to America Responds With Love, deductible to the fullest extent during 2012 as allowed by law."
