Dell acquires Credant TechnologiesDec 21, 2012 (Datamonitor Financial Deals Tracker via COMTEX) -- Dell, Inc., a manufacturer of desktop PCs, servers, networking products, software and peripherals, has acquired Credant Technologies, Inc. Both the companies are based in the US. Credant Technologies is a provider of data protection solutions to control, manage and secure data sent from endpoints to servers, storage and the cloud. Announcement (December 18, 2012): Dell has entered into an agreement to acquire Credant. Earlier, Credant Technologies had secured venture funding from Crescendo Venture Management, LLP., Austin Ventures, Menlo Ventures and Intel Capital.
