Elektrobit Develops Navigation and Speech Solutions for Volkswagen GolfDec 21, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Elektrobit, a developer of embedded technology solutions for the automotive and wireless industries, helped develop the navigation and user-experience features in the new Volkswagen Golf VII standard infotainment system, launched at Paris Auto Show earlier this year and currently available in Europe. According to a release, Panasonic Automotive Systems developed the head unit as a complete system, hardware and software with EB providing navigation, speech dialog software and HMI tooling for the system. EB's navigation software offers drivers attractive views, selection of alternative routes and integrated voice control. The infotainment system also features voice control that has been developed with the speech dialogue software EB Guide Speech Target Framework and features convenient speech destination entries for more than 50 countries.
