Brand Spain Web site features best of the Iberian nationMadrid, Dec 20, 2012 (EFE via COMTEX) -- The high commissioner for Brand Spain presented on Thursday a Web site that aims to show the best of the Iberian nation in every aspect of life. The Web site - www.marca-españa.es or www.marca-españa.com - will be "a fundamental instrument" for promoting the image of Spain both at home and abroad, Carlos Espinosa de los Monteros said at an event in Madrid. The Brand Spain site, according to the high commissioner, is a "project of the country and not that of a particular administration or political party." Besides its own content, the site includes nearly 1,000 links to firms and organizations, he said. The site will initially be available in Spanish and English and Brand Spain hopes to add other languages, including French, Chinese and German, Espinosa de los Monteros said. The Web site has a section, "Spain Today," offering the latest releases from the Office of Diplomatic Information and news stories from Agencia Efe, Brand Spain deputy director Juan Carlos Gafo said. There are also separate sections for "Economy and Business," education, culture and sports, as well as information about Spain's history and institutions. EFE jcr/dr |
