BRIEF: Embattled Richland County elections director quitsDec 19, 2012 (The State (Columbia - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Embattled Richland County elections director Lillian McBride will resign from her post effective Jan. 8. Her attorney, John Nichols, communicated that to the Richland County legislative delegation during a closed-door session Wednesday afternoon. State Rep. Todd Rutherford, D-Richland, communicated McBride's decision to reporters as he left today's meeting of the legislative delegation early.
