Charlene Frizzera Joins Health Integrated Board of Directors

Frizzera is the former Acting Administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). As a senior executive, she helped lead numerous policy and operational initiatives, including those most recent associated with the Affordable Care Act.

Frizzera's 30 years of experience at CMS includes positions as Chief Operating Officer, Deputy Chief Operating Officer, Deputy Director for the Center of Medicaid and State Operations, and Regional Administrator of the Philadelphia Regional Office. Frizzera led the integration of the agency's programs and policies across components and leading all operational aspects of CMS including budget, information technology and systems, human resources, contracting, administration, and program integrity. She modernized CMS' information technology infrastructure, and designed and implemented an aggressive program for reducing fraud, waste and abuse.
