TCS announces USD2.8m funded order receipt from US Army for MICRO VSAT and baseband equipment

Dec 10, 2012 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- TeleCommunication Systems Inc (TCS) (Nasdaq:TSYS), a provider of secure mobile communication technology, announced on Friday the receipt of funding of USD2.8m from the US Army for X- and Ku-Band MICRO VSAT satellite communications equipment.

TCS said that the US Army Project Manager for the Warfighter Information Network - Tactical (PM WIN-T) Commercial Satellite Terminal Programme - is funding this procurement through the Army's USD5.0bn World-Wide Satellite Systems (WWSS) contract vehicle.
