InFocus Launches Versatile IN3120 Projector Series

PORTLAND, OR, Dec 10, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- InFocus Corp., a global leader in digital display devices and visual collaboration technology, has introduced the IN3120 series of projectors, featuring an extremely bright, quick, crisp display; a wide range of connectivity options; and networked presentation, support and management capabilities. The projectors are small and lightweight enough to move from room to room, yet powerful enough to install.

Users can choose the resolution that best fits their equipment and content: XGA (model IN3124), WXGA (model IN3126) or 1080p (model IN3128HD). All three models provide a bright, colorful image even in daylight conditions, helping to keep the audience engaged and immersed in presentations.

The IN3128HD model in particular has a native HD resolution of 1080p, which provides a perfect representation of today's laptop screen that also has a 16:9 image ratio. It projects the display with 1:1 resolution, providing a crystal-clear image so that the audience sees the exact same quality presentation that is on the laptop. It is also a great solution for those who frequently display HD video content.

The IN3120 series projectors offer numerous connectivity options, including VGA for PCs and Macs, HDMI for one-cable projection of audio and HD-quality video from a variety of sources, and USB for projection directly from a flash drive. Presentations can be accessed from anywhere via LAN or WAN as well, while network connectivity also allows the projectors to be easily integrated into a range of IT environments and room-control systems for simple maintenance and remote management. All the models are 3-D capable for PC-based content.

Powerful built-in speakers provide high-quality audio, while the microphone port is useful for narration. The microphone audio and the content's audio can be played at the same time, so a teacher, for example, can use the microphone to explain what is happening in a video. The audio system can be powerful enough to replace some classroom public address equipment, which can simplify implementation and save money for cost-conscious schools. However, the projector is equally suited as an affordable but high-performance presentation tool in the boardroom.

"We're especially excited about how bright the images are," said Robert Detwiler, InFocus product marketing manager. "We've never had a 4,800-lumen projector before in this category. Not needing to lower the lights means the projector can be used in a wider variety of situations, so it's extremely versatile. An IN3120 series projector is an excellent choice for either conference room or classroom use."
