Rapid-I Opens Offices in Burlington and Sunnyvale


Dec 07, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Rapid-I, a provider of open source solutions for predictive analytics, data mining and text mining, announced it has opened new offices in Burlington, Mass., and Sunnyvale, Calif.

In a release, the Company noted it is also conducting RapidMiner training sessions in Redwood City, Calif.

RapidMiner provides data integration, analytical ETL, data analysis, and reporting in a single application, with a graphical user interface for designing customized analytical processes.




"North America is the biggest market for any software provider, and having offices here is an important step. In addition, Big Data analysis is gaining ever more importance, and we can respond to this trend, and the demand arising from it, with high-performance, easy to use Rapid-I solutions," said Rapid-I North America CEO Giuseppe Taibi, who is managing the new offices with Rapid-I North America COO Andrew Dinsmore. "To date, we've had a great reception, with our most recent U.S. training session quickly sold out, and by being voted the winner of Boston's first Big Data hackathon at hack/reduce last month." "In North America there is a heightened awareness of Big Data," said Ingo Mierswa, chairman of Rapid-I. "RapidMiner and RapidAnalytics are ideal for Big Data analytics, and our new offices ensure we can provide even better localized support for enterprises handling Big Data and adopting Hadoop."
