Fujitsu's Utility Practice Leader Named to UTC Smart Networks Council Board of Directors


RICHARDSON, Texas --(Business Wire)--

Chowdhury, utility practice director, Fujitsu Network Communications, to the Board of Directors for the Smart Networks Council (SNC), part of the Utilities Telecom Council (UTC) global trade association.

UTC is the source and resource for information and communications technology (ICT) solutions, collaboration and advocacy for utilities and other critical infrastructure industries. Its members represent electric, gas and water utilities, as well as pipeline and utility transport organizations. The SNC, founded in 2008, is an independent operating unit connecting utilities and solution providers dedicated to establishing a vision and plan for the modern networked grid. The SNC's activities are directed by an industry-elected Board of Directors that includes recognized leaders from the utility sector.

As utility practice director at Fujitsu, John develops unique network integration solutions, modernization programs and network operations offerings tailored to support utilities as they adapt their communications networks to meet new demands for scalability, reliability, standards, and security.
