SoundBite reports higher Q3 net loss, updates guidance for Q4


Nov 30, 2012 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- SoundBite Communications, Inc., a provider of cloud-based customer experience solutions, has reported that net loss for the third quarter ended September 30, 2012 was $513,000, or $0.03 loss per share, compared to a net loss of $196,000, or $0.01 loss per share, for the same quarter ended September 30, 2011. The company has updated its guidance, and now expects revenue to be in the range of $12.3 million to $13.1 million for the fourth quarter of 2012.



Revenues for the third quarter ended September 30, 2012 were $12.16 million, compared to $10.96 million for the same quarter ended September 30, 2011.

Net loss for the nine months ended September 30, 2012 was $2.29 million, or $0.14 loss per share, compared to a net loss of $1.9 million, or $0.12 loss per share, for the same period ended September 30, 2011.


Revenues for the nine months ended September 30, 2012 were $34.22 million, compared to $29.67 million for the same period ended September 30, 2011.

The company expects GAAP net loss to be in the range of $200,000, or $0.01 loss per share to $700,000, or $0.04 loss per share, for the fourth quarter of 2012.
