China-Intel IoT Research Institute Established


BEIJING, Nov 27, 2012 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- A research institute for the Internet of Things (IoT) technology, which saw joint investment of CNY 200 million from Beijing city, Intel Corporation and the CAS (Chinese Academy of Sciences), was officially put into operation in Beijing today.



At the inauguration ceremony, the research institute announced four major research directions: distributed IoT cloud computing system architecture, IoT mass data management and analysis software architecture, IoT data analysis technique and data service innovation, IoT information safety architecture and standardization.

The research institute has launched a series of research projects oriented to smart trade and intelligent transportation system applications at the present stage, and will be engaged in the research of safety city, intelligent agriculture, smart grid and intelligent building, etc. in the future.
