BRIEF: Lexington police seek public's help to identify bank robber
Nov 26, 2012 (Lexington Herald-Leader - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
Police sought the public's help identifying a man who took money from a bank in Lexington Monday afternoon.
The man walked into the Chase Bank in the Eastland Shopping Center on Winchester Road and handed a note to the teller asking for money.
The man did not show a weapon and the note did not imply he had one, police said. The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash.
The robbery happened about 2:19 p.m. Police later released surveillance photos that show a man in a dark coat and toboggan, glasses, blue jeans and white shoes placing a note on the counter in front of a female teller.
Several customers were in the bank at the time, but no one realized what was going on, Lexington police Lt. Dean Marcum said. No one was hurt.
Anyone with information is asked to call Lexington police at (859) 258-3600.
