Baby Gobble makes it a Turkey Day to remember

Nov 23, 2012 (Boston Herald - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- There is a turkey-shaped birthday cake in one little boy's future.

Meet Baby Boy Gobble.

Born at 9:46 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day to proud dad Dr. Ryan Gobble, 33, and mom Amy Agatucci, 31, of Malden, the little lad was a holiday treat.

"We've always sort of known it was a possibility" that the newest Gobble would be born on Turkey Day, Gobble said. "We said to each other, wouldn't it be funny if we had the baby on Thanksgiving " The baby -- whose first name is yet to be determined -- was a healthy 8 pounds, 4 ounces and 20 inches. He is the couple's first child.

Gobble said he and his wife, an executive recruiter in the fashion industry, were looking at baby clothes earlier in the week and almost bought a "My First Thanksgiving" onesie, but were told the big day wouldn't happen quite yet.

In fact, the couple, who were high school sweethearts, had planned on a traditional Thanksgiving meal with family, but said they didn't mind changing their plans.

"We're super excited," Gobble said. "The turkey is still in the refrigerator. We'll do it when we get back, I guess." The meaning of the holiday had never been clearer, he said.

"We're looking forward to having a healthy and happy child," Gobble said. "We're thankful for that." [email protected] ___ (c)2012 the Boston Herald Visit the Boston Herald at www.bostonherald.com Distributed by MCT Information Services
