HubWorks Interactive Introduces FoodHub iPad Ordering System at Lucky Robot Restaurant in Austin

Nov 15, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- HubWorks Interactive -LLC, developer of iPad and mobile ordering systems for hospitality businesses, announced the rollout of its interactive FoodHub iPad ordering systems at Lucky Robot, a Japanese-inspired restaurant located in Austin, Texas.

According to a release, FoodHub is an iPad-based system that allows patrons to order appetizers, drinks, and their meals directly from their table. Guests at Lucky Robot will receive the FoodHub iPad after taking their seats. Lucky Robot staff members will provide diners with brief tutorial on using the device, and will be available to answer any additional questions. Each device features Lucky Robot's complete menu, with detailed ingredient descriptions including allergen information. Guests at Lucky Robot can choose to pay for their meals immediately upon order submission or they can wait until the meal's completion. FoodHub features an integrated credit card reader that quickly and securely processes guest purchases.

"Our iPad-based service will offer Lucky Robot guests an unparalleled ordering and entertainment experience," said Rob Berger, president of HubWorks Interactive. "Our solution benefits both the guests and the staff by allowing the patrons to order at their own pace. This complements the relaxing atmosphere of Lucky Robot and also allows the staff to have more time to check-in with the diners to be sure they are enjoying the dining experience. " "We anticipate considerable interest from our patrons in the new iPad ordering devices," said Adam Weisberg, founder and CEO of Lucky Robot. "Our new restaurant is a great place for people to come and enjoy good food and a social atmosphere. HubWorks' product gives our customers a quick and informative method of ordering and the ability to conduct social sharing about their dining experience. I expect our staff members will also enjoy the new procedure, as they will spend less of their time at the POS terminal and more time being sure each guest has a personal and fun experience." The company noted that the FoodHub system is customizable, featuring agile components, features and white label design that can be configured to match any restaurant brand. Built-in PCI compliance exceeds industry standards to ensure ironclad payment processing security with hardware-based encryption technology that provides for secure self-service transactions.
