Affinity Plus Foundation to Host 10th Annual Silent Auction for Financial LiteracyST. PAUL, Minn. --(Business Wire)-- Since 2000, the Affinity Plus Foundation has been committed to providing sound personal financial education to people throughout Minnesota. Once again, the Foundation will be hosting its annual Silent Auction, from Nov. 9-13. With more than 300 baskets to bid on, the Foundation hopes to raise more than $20,000 for financial literacy education, including the Affinity Plus Foundation Scholarship and other educational programs throughout the state. With more than $40,000 worth of items to bid on, the Silent Auction is a great opportunity to shop for holiday gifts, such as iPads and other electronics, game tickets, spa certificates, hotel stays and more. Bidding takes place online at http://auctions.readysetauction.com/affinityplusfederalc/ or in any branch location, and anyone can participate. Bidding will open at 9 a.m. Central Standard Time on Nov. 9, with the closing bid at 8 p.m. on Nov. 13. "The Affinity Plus Foundation Silent Auction is always one of the highlights for our Foundation each year. Through this auction we have raised more than $100,000. This event is an incredible opportunity to bring members, employees, and the community together to have some fun while promoting the Foundation and increasing awareness of financial education across the state. As we say with the auction each year, bid early, bid often and have some fun," states Dave Larson, executive director of the Affinity Plus Foundation. The Affinity Plus Foundation is dedicated to bettering the quality of life through financial literacy--helping people before debt becomes a problem. The Foundation is funded by the ongoing support of members, employees, vendors and partners. In addition to the Silent Auction, an annual Fishing Tournament is held each summer.
