GFI Software Integrates etherFAX to Cloud-Enable GFI FaxMaker® Network Fax Server Solution

MARLBORO, N.J. --(Business Wire)--

etherFAX, LLC, today announced that GFI Software, makers of GFI FaxMaker®, a leading network fax server software solution for small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs), has selected etherFAX® to cloud-enable the company's network fax server solutions. With etherFAX, GFI FaxMaker customers can securely send and receive business-critical fax communications via the Internet, eliminating the need for costly and complex telephony infrastructure.

etherFAX is changing how faxes are typically sent and received. Its patent-pending technology leverages the Internet instead of PSTN networks to manage incoming and outgoing fax communications. Extending existing fax servers such as GFI FaxMaker to the cloud, etherFAX removes the need for costly components such as fax boards, media gateways and FoIP drivers. It also eliminates recurring telephony expenses. Through its infrastructure as a service (IaaS) model, etherFAX hosts a vast array of virtual ports, making them available to send and receive high volumes of fax transmissions.

Targeting small and medium-sized businesses, GFI FaxMaker makes sending and receiving faxes an efficient, simple and cost-effective process and solves the problems associated with manual faxing. It allows users to send and receive faxes directly from their email client and saves each fax digitally for easier filing and finding.

"By offering etherFAX service with GFI FaxMaker, we are giving our customers the rich feature set and flexibility of ur award winning fax server with all the advantages and up front capital savings gained by etherFAX's scalable, secure IaaS fax service," said Phil Bousfield, General Manager, IT Infrastructure, at GFI. "etherFAX offers a scalable fax communications platform that extends the capabilities of our fax server product. Not having to worry about phone lines, procuring and maintaining fax boards, and integration to phone systems is a huge plus for many organizations strapped for resource and time."

"The integration between etherFAX and GFI FaxMaker will enable thousands of GFI Software's small and medium-sized business customers to utilize the cloud to transport their fax communications," said Quinn Corey, Director of Sales at etherFAX. "Together we will continue to deliver solutions that are transparent to users, without compromising the performance and reliability they have come to expect."

The integration between GFI FaxMaker and etherFAX is now available.
