BRIEF: Wibert, Sandoval win seats on Fontana city councilFONTANA, Nov 07, 2012 (San Bernardino County Sun - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Jesus "Jesse" Sandoval knocked off incumbent Matthew Slowik for one of two open slots on the Fontana City Council. Lydia Salazar Wibert handily retained her spot on the council, picking up 13,211 votes, or 30.04 percent, which was more than any of the five candidates. Sandoval garnered 10,890 votes, or 24.76 percent of the total, while 9,733 voted for Slowik, or 22.13 percent.
