NEC provides digital TV broadcasting transmitters for MAMS

Oct 10, 2012 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- NEC Corporation has provided digital TV broadcasting transmitters for Myanmar Album Media Services Co., Ltd., or MAMS, through RedLink Communications Co., Ltd.

MAMS is utilizing NEC's DTU-52 and DTL-10 digital TV broadcasting transmitters, both of which support the digital broadcasting standards, including DVB-T.

These eco-friendly models occupy a smaller footprint and consume less power when compared to previous ones due to the adoption of new power amplifiers and the latest LDMOS RF power transistors.

"NEC has provided broadcasting equipment in Myanmar since the 1980s, including the establishment of analog transmission networks," said Masami Aikawa, General Manager, Broadcast and Video Equipment Division, NEC.

"The adoption of NEC's digital transmitters for the construction of this digital TV network is proof of the superior performance of our highly evaluated, highly reliable equipment." http://www.datamonitor.com Republication or redistribution, including by framing or similar means, is expressly prohibited without prior written consent.
