Extreme Networks Names Nancy Shemwell as Executive VP of Global SalesSep 28, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- SExtreme Networks, Inc. announced that it has appointed Nancy Shemwell to the position of Executive Vice President of Global Sales. In her role, Shemwell will lead sales and channel management teams across the company's global regions focused on expanding and establishing new paths to the cloud, data center, enterprise campus and mobility markets. Shemwell is an experienced executive with a 20 year track record of driving high performance transformational global sales forces. Previous positions included that of President and CEO of Multi-Link, EVP Global Sales at Symmetricom and a 16 year career with Nortel Networks where she held titles of President, Micom Communications Corp. (a Nortel data subsidiary), Vice President Business Segments, and Vice President Sales and Marketing Wiltel. Shemwell has a track record of being able to grow revenue and improve gross margins. "Nancy brings to Extreme Networks the leadership skills, relationships and proven sales experience that can help us drive towards our revenue and operating income goals," said Oscar Rodriguez, president and CEO of Extreme Networks. Shemwell currently serves on the board of directors for the North Texas Regional Center for Innovation and Commercialization, VoodooVox, Inc., and she is an associate board member for Southern Methodist University's (SMU) Cox School of Business.
