McWane Acquires Majority Interest in Nighthawk


DALLAS, TX, Sep 17, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Nighthawk, a leading wireless smart grid solutions provider, announced today that McWane Technology, LLC, an affiliate of McWane Inc., has acquired a majority interest in Nighthawk. Since 1921, McWane has been a global leader in water infrastructure products and is one of the largest privately-held companies in the United States.



McWane plans to invest additional capital into Nighthawk to accelerate its wireless smart grid solution business, which has secured over 60 different utility customers since its launch less than two years ago.

Nighthawk's technology and solutions uniquely address the challenges of US and international utilities and energy companies by coupling intelligent devices, secure cloud applications and wireless connectivity.
