Huntsman has the Highest Debt to Equity Ratio in the Diversified Chemicals Industry (HUN, DD, PPG, DOW, PENX)


Jul 29, 2012 (SmarTrend(R) News Watch via COMTEX) -- Below are the three companies in the Diversified Chemicals industry with the highest debt to equity ratios. The Debt/Equity ratio measures a company's leverage and a high level often implies that a company has financed much of its growth with debt.Huntsman ranks highest with a a debt to equity ratio of 2.0. EI Du Pont de Nemours is next with a a debt to equity ratio of 1.5. PPG Industries ranks third highest with a a debt to equity ratio of 1.1.



Dow Chemical follows with a a debt to equity ratio of 1.1, and Penford rounds out the top five with a a debt to equity ratio of 1.0.
