Lenovo boosts ME push with new PCJun 16, 2012 (Khaleej Times - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- DUBAI ? IT and electronics company Lenovo on Thursday announced the launch of its IdeaCentre A720 All-in-One, or AIO, desktop computer, which will further enhance its footprint in the Middle East market. The company says it is the world?s slimmest AIO. "Lenovo prides itself in pushing the design and performance envelope to provide users with the best possible computing experience," Lenovo Middle East and Africa general manager Jack Lee said. The IdeaCentre A720 features a 27-inch screen that has a 10-point multi-touch display for greater accuracy, and is less than an inch thin. It is powered by the latest Intel Core Series processor, with up to 1TB hard disk drive and 64GB solid state drive storage. "Over the last few years the desktop market has evolved, shifting away from the standard beige box desktop PC into the sleek all-in device we see today," Intel regional manager for market development in the GCC in Middle East Khaldoun Aboul-Saoud said. The Lenovo IdeaCentre A720 has won several best desktop awards during the 2012 International CES from and . Ultrabooks launched Lenovo also recently announced the worldwide availability of its IdeaPad U310 and U410 Ultrabooks, further advancing its foray into the new-generation line of ultra-thin portable computers. "Ultrabooks are a game-changer that shift not only the way people think about laptop design, but also how much performance can be packed into a thin device," Lee said. The IdeaPad U series Ultrabook devices was made available in the market this week in several countries, as well as on Lenovo's website.
