BRIEF: Norwalk teens claim armed robbery

NORWALK, May 25, 2012 (Connecticut Post - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Two teens who came together late Thursday night to make a deal over a used iPhone told police they were robbed by another person with a gun, police said.

The two youths, age 16 and 17 told police that they met shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday on Harding Street, Sgt. Lisa Cotto said.

The younger of the two said he was going to meet the other teen in order to purchase a used iPhone. But before the deal was done another person appeared with a gun tucked in his waistband.

The youths said the robber took two iPhones from them and fled on foot. They were unable to give a description of the gunman because it was dark and could not identify the type of gun, Cotto said.

Police canvassed the area and the case was forwarded to the detective bureau who will be meeting with the robbery victims, Cotto said.
