Avema Corporation Announces Acquisition of Breakaway Services

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Denver, Colorado (PRWEB) April 09, 2012 Avema Corporation, a global provider of telecom and wireless cost optimization software and services, is pleased to announce that it has acquired Breakaway Services. Breakaway is a leading service provider focused on managing telecommunications services, assets and expenses for corporations, and is an AOTMP top-10 ranked expense management provider. Breakaway will continue to operate out of its Denver location, and will become part of Avema Corporation.

“This acquisition of Breakaway further positions Avema as a premier telecom expense management (TEM) company,” said Roger Yang, CEO of Avema. “Our existing partnership with Breakaway has been very successful, with clients benefiting from the combined capabilities of our two organizations. I was impressed by Breakaway’s dedication to client service, and concluded that the company would be an ideal addition to Avema.” Through Avema and Breakaway’s current partnership, which was established in January, Breakaway began using Avema’s Advanced Vendor Management (AVM) system to provide TEM to its clients. AVM delivers the infrastructure to manage voice, data, and wireless processes and costs. By consolidating all telecommunications data in one place, AVM allows companies to manage costs and inventory from any web browser. In addition, it streamlines multiple vendor billing into one standard format and permits users to manage all telecom costs from the same application. Clients gain greater control over their vendors, inventory and expenses, doing more with fewer resources.

“Our partnership with Avema has allowed us to offer more advanced reporting and analysis, and better self-service functionality to our clients,” said Shelley Cruikshank, CEO of Breakaway. “Avema’s acquisition will enable us to more fully integrate our two companies, and draw on our shared TEM expertise.” “To date, our customers have benefited from greatly increased efficiency through our partnership with Avema, which allows us to service more clients without adding headcount,” said Ric Reifel, Chief Sales Officer for Breakaway. “This joint venture gives us a solid foundation to expand our TEM business.” As part of the agreement, Cruikshank and Reifel will continue to spearhead Avema’s Denver operations.
