SMi Updates on 2nd Annual Smart Grid Data Management Conference

SMi announced their 2nd annual conference on Smart Grids Data and Information Management will be held May 9-10 in London.
According to a release, with the smart grid and smart meter roll out expanding throughout Europe utilities will need to manage how they handle all this data - how to store it and how to convert it into useful information which can be used to make more profit, locate faults, make the customer savings.
Pikes Research stated 'with the increasing use of building automation and control systems, there has been an explosion in the amount of data that is available on the operational, and energy performance of commercial buildings. Although this data can pose challenges for building owners, building managers, and vendors, it has also provided significant opportunities.
